Journaling for Mental Wellness

June 20, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

| Free

Jodie Toohey is the author of nine books – three poetry, four fiction, and one non-fiction.

Tuesday, June 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Bettendorf Public Library

2950 Learning Campus Drive, Bettendorf

Invest 90 minutes in your well-being. Journaling provides real benefits for your mental health. There’s plenty of scientific evidence that proves journaling reduces stress, improves memory, and helps you regulate emotions.

Author Jodie Toohey will show you how to use your senses as a framework for writing. She will introduce you to the “free-writing style” and guide you as you try several writing exercises. We’ll leave time for a robust discussion at the end of the seminar.

Come prepared with a journal, paper, and something to write with. This event is free and made possible through the support of the Bettendorf Public Library
