Volunteer

IMG_0412NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley relies on volunteers to support its community outreach, education and support programs; as well as advocacy and fundraising efforts.

We serve six counties in the Quad Cities area: Henry, Rock Island and Mercer counties in Illinois, and Clinton, Scott and Muscatine counties in Iowa.

We are currently in need of persons to:

  • Teach: If you have lived experience with mental illness, we are looking for family/friends and peers to train and teach our nationally-developed education classes. Open to previous graduates of NAMI Signature Education programs. MUST have lived experience with mental illness.
  • Community Awareness & Outreach: Let’s spread the word that NAMI helps families and peers through education and support programs. We are able to speak and exhibit in a variety of community settings including civic, faith-based, minority and health-related organizations.
  • Events: Help with NAMIWalk or other events NAMI sponsors. Raise funds, promote, or help with day-of-event logistics.
  • Office: Provide administrative support in our office.
