Flexible, Part-time Program Opportunity with NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley

NAMI is looking for a social work or related professional seeking a flexible, non-clinical work environment.

 Who We Are

NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley is one of the oldest affiliates of the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with a mental health condition and their families. A 501c3 nonprofit, NAMI helps individuals and families in an eight-county region by providing education, advocacy and support. Our programs are nationally developed and delivered by trained volunteers who have lived experience with mental illness. Through our education and support programs, we help individuals and families more effectively work toward recovery and access available community services.

 

The Opportunity

NAMI GMV is currently looking to hire an experienced social work professional, or a professional from a human services related field. This is an ideal opportunity for a person who is seeking flexibility with their work environment and schedule, and wants to make a positive impact on mental health in their community.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience managing people, data and community development. They will be energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to inspire, motivate and engage others. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently are key!

Hours will average 20 hours per week.  Some travel within the area is required and mileage will be reimbursed at a pre-determined rate.
