A free recovery-focused education program for adults living with mental health conditions.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is an educational program designed to support personal growth, recovery, and connection through shared lived experience.

The course is led by trained facilitators who live with mental health conditions themselves and understand the challenges and successes of recovery firsthand.

What is Peer-to Peer?

Participants explore topics such as:

  • Recovery and relapse prevention

  • Communication and relationship skills

  • Managing stress and emotional wellness

  • Working with providers and support systems

  • Goal setting and future planning

  • Building confidence and self-advocacy

  • Strengthening decision-making skills

Topics May Include

This program is intended for adults (18+) living with mental health conditions who are interested in learning more about recovery, wellness, and support strategies.

Program Audiences

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is offered at no cost in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.

  • Peer-led by trained facilitators with lived experience

  • Structured multi-session course

  • Virtual opportunities may be available in Iowa and Illinois
